Dawn and peroxide

Apply to the stain, let sit for minutes (or longer), and rinse.

It doesn’t react with the peroxide. It makes a little foam when you put them together, but peroxide does that with water too. For really deep urine stains, you can mix vinegar with some dawn and spray that on the baking soda.


The dawn works best with the vinegar for getting stains up. Apply the soap and peroxide mixture to the stain(s), and sprinkle a bit of baking soda over the area. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) teaspoon of liquid soap. Mix together to make a shampoo for your furry pal. You may need to double or triple this recipe depending on the weight of your dog.


Combine ounces of hydrogen peroxide with a couple drops of dishwashing liquid. Place the mixture in a bowl or spray bottle. Add the liquid mixture to the baking soda by pouring slowly or spraying from the bottle. Be sure to test the peroxide mixture before you use it. Heating the vinegar just speeds up the reaction between the vinegar and the Dawn.


For every degrees C one raises the temp of a chemical reaction, you double the speed of that reaction. Some or all of the alkaline part of the Dawn will be neutralized by the vinegar. According to William F. Variations of this recipe recommend mild detergent such as Ivory-brand dish soap,.
