The documentary follows an individual’s experience with root canal treatment , and the alleged systemic issues he claims is directly associated with root canal treatment. The people in this movie are spreading misinformation and confusion about root canal treatment that is misleading and harmful to the consumer public. Root Cause is the Netflix documentary stirring up root canal concerns.


I’ve had six root canals in five teeth, I still have three in situ. It chronicles a man’s struggle with health issues who ultimately concludes that his issues were due to a decades-old root canal and cavitation. Have you watched the “Root Cause” documentary on Netflix? It follows the story of a man called Ben. Ben is searching for the underlying cause of a chronic illness he suffers from and “Root Cause” documents his experience with root canal treatment and the subsequent illness that he blames on that treatment.


Yes, you read correctly. After watching this program, you may believe that if you get a root canal, you will have a more than chance of getting cancer. In the documentary , Root canal treatment is described as a toxic facility inside the mouth that causes a chronic inflammation, which in turn eventually leads into many different systemic health issues, prominently cancer. I have been searching, testing and undertaking numerous protocols the past four years, since I retire to find a root cause to my autoimmune condition and failing health. Root canals are thought by many to cause cancer and autoimmune disease. The truth of the matter is – it is not that simple. In the film, Frazer Bailey shares his experiences including a root canal, concussion from a punch to the face, and subsequent fall into a sickened state.

The film placed dentists under unnecessary stress due to the numerous inaccuracies in the documentary. Unfounded and inaccurate links were made between root canals, heart disease and breast cancer. Netflix has quietly pulled the controversial documentary ‘Root Cause’ from its streaming platform and scrubbed all trace of it from their website. The film, directed by Australian filmmaker Frazer Bailey, alleges that root canals cause cancer, heart disease and other serious chronic illness,. It was pulled days later, as Netflix recognized the poor scientific backing to most claims in the documentary.
