Dentist drilled too deep root canal

While flushing it out with the bleach solution. The solution went thru my sinuses and down my throat. Performing an unnecessary surgery can easily be medical malpractice in any field of medicine, including dentistry. Another common cause of root canal dental malpractice is drilling too deep in the tooth.

When this happens, the dentist can cut through the bottom of the tooth.

This can result in an infection, massive swelling, and the overall procedure failing. This can also result in serious gum damage, jaw bone damage, and even loss of the tooth. Failing to properly clean out the inside of. Three months later the tooth started to hurt very badly, I went to different Dentist. Is there a way that the old.

She said that the root canal is not covered by our insurance AFTER she exposed the nerve. He told me that from the x-rays, it looks like that cavity was drilled too deep and hit a nerve. That was the cause of the pain I was having.

He also said the tooth is still a good tooth and that I now need a root canal. My insurance (medi-cal) does not cover the procedure and will cost me around $000. D xrays show the exact position of the jaw nerve and guide the surgeon preoperatively where to place the implant drill to avoid injury to the sensory jaw nerve. Symptoms of a needed root canal are.

After a couple of weeks she was still in agonizing pain and returned to the dentist. After xrays and examniation they determined that the dentist drilled too close to the nerve and she now has to have a Root Canal. Two months ago my mother went to the dentist to have four teeth fille and the dentist filled the four teeth within half an hour. The dentist drilled too far in a root canal and damaged the nerve.

When my mother went home and the effect of the anaesthetic wore off, problems began to appear in her teeth, one after another. On the final visit she filled my tooth for a third time and left sharp edges on it. Could it be that after I got the filling it the symptoms of needing a root canal just showed up, not related to drilling too deep ? I am no dentist so am asking those wiser than me. However its not really possible to say the cavity was drilled too deep , the dentist drilled as deeply as they thought they needed to. They drilled too deep and killed her root.

After a week of jaw pain my parents took her back and they said she needs a root canal on the tooth they drilled. So, a little over two weeks ago, I went in for my root canal , everything was going well until close to the end. He was drilling and accidentally drilled into my sinus cavity.

There was NO infection, but the dentist had to drill all the way to the pulp and suggested a root canal would be safer than just a crown. He indicated that the pulp looked pink and healthy. Just been back to the dentist , and in the xray he can see that the original root canal filling that went past the root is still in my gum, even though the tooth is gone. Dentist often needs to drill to cover enough area in order to clean out the decay, and sometimes it can be bit too deep (maybe the case the decay sits right through to the deep ).
