Root canal drilled too deep

While flushing it out with the bleach solution. The solution went thru my sinuses and down my throat. I understand the bone is egg shell thin.

Another common cause of root canal dental malpractice is drilling too deep in the tooth. When this happens, the dentist can cut through the bottom of the tooth. This can result in an infection, massive swelling, and the overall procedure failing. D xrays show the exact position of the jaw nerve and guide the surgeon preoperatively where to place the implant drill to avoid injury to the sensory jaw nerve. Just been back to the dentist, and in the xray he can see that the original root canal filling that went past the root is still in my gum, even.

Symptoms of a needed root canal are. Could it be that after I got the filling it the symptoms of needing a root canal just showed up, not related to drilling too deep ? I am no dentist so am asking those wiser than me. Drilled too deep (went to a dentist to fill two cavities) I went to a dentist to fill two cavities on the upper right side of my mouth.

He proceeded to tell me during the procedure that the cavities were real deep and that they could have lead to me needing a root canal. He told me that from the x-rays, it looks like that cavity was drilled too deep and hit a nerve. That was the cause of the pain I was having. He also said the tooth is still a good tooth and that I now need a root canal.

My insurance (medi-cal) does not cover the procedure and will cost me around $000. The dentist accidentally dug too deep and then stoppe asked my husband if he wanted a root canal. She said that the root canal is not covered by our insurance AFTER she exposed the nerve. Three months later the tooth started to hurt very badly, I went to different Dentist. Is there a way that the old.

It is vital that you evaluate a dentist’s credentials prior to having any work done on your teeth. Whether you need to have a root canal , a sinus lift or a tooth extraction, check the dentist’s experience first 2. If a lack of experience makes you feel uneasy, ask your friends and colleagues for a recommendation. Yes it can, several factors are involve is it so deep it has killed off the pulp (nerve and blood vessels), or has it just caused an injury to them?

The dentist did not take x rays before or after filling, later admitted she drilled a little too deep , suggested I may need a root canal and continued to have me in her office a half dozen times for follow ups. On the final visit she filled my tooth for a third time and left sharp edges on it. Yes, a root canal does require a drill in the beginning. So a root canal will typically start with your dentist getting you numb, because the drill is imminent.

So, a little over two weeks ago, I went in for my root canal , everything was going well until close to the end. He was drilling and accidentally drilled into my sinus cavity. It was horrible, and at the time he was injecting a syringe full of a bleach solution to cleanse the root , which was suppse to come back out. It is unlikely that he would have drilled deeper then the cavity required him to.

Another reviewer shared a story about a filling that turned into a root canal because of drilling too deep. Well, that happened to me also.
